The Voigtlander NOKTON 50mm F1.2 X-Mount is a large aperture manual focus medium telephoto lens of a Sonnar design. With an angle of view equivalent to 75mm in full-frame equivalent, and an asymmetrical front and rear aperture, it realises a large aperture of F1.2. While adopting a spherical lens and all-group extensions, it is compact and easy to handle with a total length of 49.0 mm and a weight of 290 g. This lens produces a large bokeh at full aperture and exhibits sharp descriptive power by closing down several stops, so you can enjoy variations in photographic expression by aperture operation.
With an optical design optimised for image sensors in Fujifilm X system cameras, high resolution is maintained up to the periphery of the image without relying on the optical correction function of the camera.
In order to make the holes formed by the aperture blades close to the circle, a 12-blade diaphragm configuration is adopted. The out-focus image is a natural depiction, and point light sources are not distorted, but round and soft bokeh.
Equipped with electronic contacts, reliable telecommunication between the lens and the body is realised. The combination of a telecommunications-compatible body and the latest firmware(*1) provides Exif information, focus check, and shooting distance-linked display, as well as in-body image stabilisation and parallax correction for certain models.
